car parts, aftermarket partsI have never been an expert on car parts, aftermarket parts, or just cars in general. I'm the guy that takes his car into the shop to get the oil change every three thousand miles, and never knows what "that sound is." A lot of my friends are aftermarket car parts junkies though. I have been watching --and helping a little-- my friend rebuild his Chevelle SS. I am actually learning a little bit about car parts. Once this project is done, I think I am going to start my own project, mainly because the challenge is interesting. There is just something about hearing a car rumble when it couldn't even start before you touched it. I am thinking about starting out restoring the car with original car parts, and eventually upgrading to aftermarket parts. Working with my friend on his car and car parts, has taught me a lot. I can now change the oil in my car, check the spark plugs, and can tell if most of my car parts are functioning correctly. Working on car parts has increased my confidence as a driver in general, because I know if I break down, I probably know what the problem is --and if I don't, I probably don't want to know.
